Quix Malpass

Quix is a post-baccalaureate researcher hosted through the NSF-funded Rare Plant RaMP network researching carnivorous pitcher plant genetics. Hailing from Richland, Michigan, Quix received their BS in Biology magna cum laude at Eastern Michigan University, where they also researched legume multi-mutualist relationships in order to inform prairie restoration efforts in Michigan. Outside of work, Quix enjoys hiking, crafting (drawing, jewelry-making), and hanging out with their cat! Their favorite thing about the work they do is getting to help the conservation efforts of such an awesome and sadly endangered plant-mountain sweet pitcher plant.
