Show off the kids’ Halloween costumes on the Goblins Runway and participate in a variety of fall family activities. Enjoy pony and train rides while exploring the Scarecrows in the Garden. The event features music performances, pumpkin decorating, and more, making it a perfect day for the whole family. Costumes are encouraged, so come dressed for the occasion and create unforgettable memories!

“Music Party” with Travis Murphy
11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Join us for Travis Murphy’s musical adventure as he explores different sounds, movements and silly lyrics with interactive elements. Mr. Travis has taught music to hundreds of preschool-aged children every week for the past 12 years in and around Atlanta. He also tours professionally with his band. Bring a blanket or ground cover if desired.

Children’s Ride-on-Train
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
$6 per passenger ($4 members), plus tax. Credit card only. Adults should accompany children 0-3 years old. Children 4+ are encouraged to ride alone if comfortable. Please note: the Ride-on-Train does not run during inclement weather. Last ticket sold at 3:30 p.m.

Bewitching Fun in the Rose Garden

Visit the Rose Garden to explore imaginary potions at our sensory bins, sink your hands into some spooky playdough, and play at our witch-hat toss.

Pumpkin Wonders

Peek inside a pumpkin and squish its enchanted guts at our exploration table, then sample some crunchy pumpkin gems at the seed tasting table. A festive, hands-on way to explore the magic of pumpkins!

Journey to Literacy
10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.*
Junior League of Atlanta’s Journey to Literacy is a hands-on program presented throughout the community to help raise awareness of the importance of early childhood education and to teach caregivers effective methods to develop early literacy skills.

Garden Chef Demos: Jacob Rich
11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
In the Edible Garden Outdoor Kitchen, join the Garden Chef for a family-friendly, mouthwatering recipe. Be inspired to try something new the next time you cook. Jacob Rich is a chef originally from Boston, Massachusetts with a degree in culinary nutrition. He worked in restaurants and cooked all over the East Coast until transitioning to sports nutrition. He moved to Atlanta in 2023 and loves exploring the restaurants and culture of the Georgia food scene.
