Discover how to create a thriving, self-sustaining garden—no matter your climate, budget, or experience level. This three-part workshop explores the three pillars of regenerative landscaping through real-life case studies and practical techniques rooted in permaculture.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Support pollinators like bees, birds, and butterflies
  • Grow your own herbs, fruits, and veggies
  • Build healthy soil from the ground up
  • Capture and store water naturally for drought resilience
  • Address pest problems by understanding their root causes.

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, this workshop will equip you with the tools and inspiration to transform your outdoor space into an abundant, eco-friendly ecosystem.

Session 1: Groundwork & Vision | Wednesday, September 10, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Set the foundation for your resilient garden by identifying your site’s unique opportunities and constraints. Learn how to observe, map, and plan with intention so your design works with nature, not against it.

Session 2: Water Wisdom & Soil Health | Wednesday, September 24, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Discover how to work with natural systems to conserve water, prevent erosion, and regenerate soil life. We’ll explore real-world techniques that build fertility and resilience from the ground up.

Session 3: Plant Selection & Ecological Design | Wednesday, October 22, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Learn how to choose the right plants for your climate and goals—while supporting pollinators and creating beauty. This session brings it all together through layered design strategies that grow food, habitat, and joy.

Brandy Hall founded Shades of Green Permaculture in 2008. Since then, her company has grown to a staff of 20, and has worked with over a thousand clients applying permaculture across contexts. As a certified B Corp, Hall is passionate about leading a purpose-driven business that actively creates a healthier world every single day. Hall’s roots are in building. She earned her General Contractor’s license directly after completing undergraduate work at the age of 20, and began training as a stone mason where she fell in love with the way intelligent design responds to the natural world. With a Masters in Contemplative Education from Naropa University and a B.A. in English Literature, Hall has nearly two decades of experience in building off-grid water systems, landscape construction, and integrated farming systems, and she holds a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC). In 2023, she was recognized as a Rising Star by My Home Improvement Magazine, and noted as “part of a new guard of landscape designers” by Garden & Gun. In 2024, Shades of Green Permaculture was named the best landscape designer in Avondale Estates, GA by HomeGuide. She also serves as Mayor of the City of Pine Lake and spends lots of time outdoors with her husband, Aaron and their daughter.
